About Surgenor Amps

Welcome to Surgenor Amps and thanks for stopping by! My name is Manuel Surgenor and I love repairing and modifying tube guitar amplifiers and guitar circuits to bring out their best sound. My journey is driven by a commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, and of course the circuits themselves. My aim is not just to retain customers but to forge lasting relationships based on trust, quality, and service. In a world where shortcuts are often taken, I choose the path of diligence and dedication. Each amplifier that passes through my hands is treated with the utmost respect, as if it were my own. I am not just repairing equipment, but hoping to revive the essence of some of the best circuits ever known and played on our favorite records.

Quality and Integrity

I pledge to use only parts and components that meet my high standards of quality and reliability. I understand the trust you place in me when handing over your equipment, and I honor that trust by ensuring every modification, repair, or service is performed with the utmost care and professionalism.

Service Agreement

Provided Parts and Modifications: While I encourage the use of trusted parts that I supply or recommend, I understand the desire for customization. Should you choose to provide your own parts or request specific modifications, please note that while my workmanship is guaranteed, the parts themselves are not covered under my 60-day warranty. Furthermore, if these parts result in damage to the circuit, Surgenor Amps LLC cannot be held responsible for the ensuing damages. I will always try to make it right regardless.

Right of Refusal: My commitment to quality means I must sometimes make difficult decisions. Therefore, I reserve the right to turn away work if the project involves components or circuits I am not comfortable working with, such as overly complex surface-mount components that are beyond a reasonable repair scope. This policy ensures I can always provide services that meet my standards and your expectations.

Workmanship Warranty: I stand behind my work. All services performed by Surgenor Amps are covered by a 60-day warranty for workmanship and components obtained through my suppliers. This warranty does not extend to parts provided by the customer or to inherent issues in the original design not caused by my work.

Liability Limitation: Surgenor Amps is dedicated to providing high-quality repair and modification services. However, I cannot be liable for pre-existing conditions of the equipment not disclosed at the time of service or for damages resulting from misuse or accidents pre or post-repair.

Service Completion and Payment: Completion of services will be communicated promptly, with a detailed overview of the work performed and any recommendations for future care. Payment is due upon completion and can be made by cash only. Equipment will not be returned until payment is paid at 100%.

Disclaimer

I work out of my home and this is my second job, as is common with amp service repair techs, so I will be operating after hours almost exclusively. I do not want to rush through any amplifier, so expect a week at a minimum. Of course, this will not always be the case, but I want to set reasonable expectations. I cannot take on 100 repairs simultaneously, but I will try my best to give you an honest estimate on time if I currently have people in front of you. Please reach out if you have any questions.
